Doggy Cookies Recipe

This homemade treat is a Kardogshian favorite. We always make these for them so we wont have to buy some of those store bought, mass produced dog treats.

We'll leave you all in the capable hands of our resident good girl, Harley Quinn to teach you this recipe. Also he'll be providing alternatives incase your furbaby has certain allergies.

PREP TIME: 45 mins
SERVING: 20pcs

You'll need for the basic recipe:

  • 1 Large egg
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 Kilo Ground beef
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (Available in supermarkets)
  • 1 cup Water

You may add: (Optional)
  • Carrots
  • potato
  • Apples
  • Peanut Butter

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

2. In a large bowl mix all the ingredients. We find it best to use our hands in doing so to fuly incorporate all the ingredients together.

Note: If your dough is too moist, add a little flour, but if it's too dry add a little more water. The dough must look like that of a bread dough.

3. Knead your dough well. If you're wondering why, it's because the meat sometimes tend to group on certain areas of the dough. You have to make sure that the meat is equally distributed.

4. Flatten your dough using a rolling pin or use your hands or press it with a flat plate.

5. Using your cookie cutter, cut through the dough

- It's best to use a metal one because sometimes the meat parts are hard to cut through
- If you don't have a cookie cutter, just pinch some dough, roll it in your hands, and flatten it to make flat circles (although it's more time consuming)
-We got our cookie cutter from Daiso

6. Grease up your baking pan, or use baking paper so the cookie won't stick to your pan. This dough does not expand so it's ok to cram it up just a little

7. Cook it in the oven for 25mins. Once 25mins has passed. take it out of the oven. and let it cook in a cooling rack.

Note: Take note that this is a cookie recipe not a biscuit. the end product is suppose to be soft and chewy, not hard and crumbly.

8. And you're done!

  • If you're serving this for bigger dogs who prefer the hard and crumbly texture just leave it in the oven for another 5 mins
  • If you're adding ingredients such as carrots and apples. add 2 more minutes in the oven
  • The dogs are obsessed with these, they prefer this recipe because of its meatiness.
